Theevents that are scheduled through the year are designed to raise money and awareness. The races and restaurant nights are the main ones. Please visit the EVENTS page.
RUNNING 4 KIDS helps the children. We help the families of the children. They may never run. They may never be able to look at a web site. They may be a success story later in life from the tireless efforts of many. Please contribute to the future of the children through donations of money and time, and help make a difference.
RUNNING FOR KIDS is all volunteer and all charity. Besides Bob, the personnel consists of family and friends with major support of numerous volunteers and organizations from the community. 100% of all donations go towards helping the children. Administrative expenses are covered by special funding or fundraisers. Please see the donors and supporters on the money page.

The mission of RUNNING 4 KIDS is to provide charitable contributions to both children and their families who are in need, and the organizations and institutions that serve them. Although children with serious medical conditions are the primary focus, providing a bright future for all the children will always be the ultimate goal.
Helping the children one step at a time.
Have a heart. Join us at any of our events as a participant, volunteer, messenger or donor. It doesn't take a whole lot of time and the feeling you will get knowing that you are helping the children is priceless. Please visit the CHALLENGE page.
WHO WE ARE
RUNNING FOR KIDSwas established in 2013 after Bob's numerous years of running and activities to help the children. The first year included just the 4K race for middle school students and a one night restaurant fundraiser. The 4K race has grown to include a 10K and is open to all with participants and volunteers coming from as far south as NC and as far north to MA and as far west as IN. The restaurant fundraiser included 15 sites last year and more than tripled the amount raised in any previous year. The yard sale and bracket challenges were added in year two, primarily to offset administrative cost. The organizations and institutions receiving the grants accepted the stipulation that the grant be used for the children and not for administrative items.
The year of 2018 was a great success. The total amount of money and goods raised to help the children grew to over $10K. The number of participants and volunteers in the various events increased. The 25% increase from each of the 4 events was attained in 3. The restaurant fundraisers for the JDRF may have been adversley effected by hurricane Florence. New recipients were added and RUNNING 4 KIDS was able to identify more specific children to be helped. A special thanks to family, friends, volunteers, and the community in general for our success. The Freedom District Lions Club was a great messenger and set of volunteers in regards to our restaurant fundraiser for the fight against juvenile diabetes and the Run 4 Kids Challenge. Special thanks go to the organizations and businesses for their contributions. A special thanks to our platinum partners, Buffalo Wild Wings and Glory Days Grill; and gold sponsors, Eldersburg Rogue Runners, Mike Greenhill Photography and AAA Mid - Atlantic.
